Benediste Hoareau
First and incumbent chief of SIS (Seychelles)
Benediste Hoareau is a former Seychelles Police Force officer who was appointed as the first Director General of Seychelles Intelligence Service (SIS) by former President Danny Faure; the agency itself was established through an Act of Parliament passed in 2018.
He was re-appointed to the position/ tenure extended by Faure's successor, President (incumbent) Wavel Ramkalawan.

As Political Affairs head in EASF, he was part of delegates hosted and supported by the US military's Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa (CJT-HOA) in Djibouti (2015)
He delivered a lecture on African Union affairs to participants of the 13th Integrated Crisis Management Course conducted by the Finnish Defence Forces in Rwanda (2017)
He was Mentor for the African Integrated Crisis Management Course' organised and patronised by the Finnish Defence Forces (2019)
As Director General SIS he is a Member of the National Anti-Money Laundering/ Combatting the Financing of Terrorism Committee within the Central Bank of Seychelles (2019-present)
He raised concerns of foreigners owning large plots of land in the Seychelles (2022)
